Finally! Hat ein bisschen gedauert, dank 'gut gewarteter' Anlage im Red-Room musste erstmal ganz odentlich am Sound gedreht werden damit man's auch anhören kann, aber jetzt endlich hier: 2-teiliger Live-Mitschnitt des Birthday-Sets vom werten Herrn Dago. yAIR!

Anlässlich des 27-jährigen Airport Geburtstages Ende Oktober 2010 hat sich der langjährige Ex-Air-Resident mal wieder die Ehre gegeben. Nach 15-jähriger DJ-Enthaltsamkeit im alt-ehrwürdigen 'Air' hinter die 1210er geklemmt, ordentlich Vinyl-Klassiker am Start und ne schicke Party hingelegt. Real, classic Dago-Style!

Zwar hat der Eine oder Andere den 'Opi-Sound' so gar nicht verstanden, aber da sagt man besser nichts weiter zu...

Eine Tür schliesst sich und wie ja oft im Leben, eine andere geht auf. So haben sich scheinbar einiger der Pleicherhof Mitarbeiter und Freunde (möge der Hog in Frieden Ruhen) zusammen getan und kurzerhand ein interessantes Projekt auf die Beine gestellt.
Und deswegen schaut auch die gute Ulla Eisbrecher mal vorbei. Im Alten Hafen hinter dem Heizkraftwerk, bei der Treppe..

In der Arte Noah des Kunstvereins Würzburg gibt’s für 2 Monate eine lustige Mischung aus Konzerten, Lesungen, Ausstellung DJ-Auftritten und Artverwandtem. Auch das Panoptikum, der kleine, fein Filmeabend verlagerst sich temproär mal aus dem Rene dorthin. Droht sapassig zu werden. Genaueres und Infos über die jeweils aktuellen Events könnt ihr in Ulla's- Blog [HIER] finden.

Den Anfang macht morgen erst mal Mark Hype in den Plattentellern, der ja schon erfolgreich im Oktober 2009 den Pleicher-Hof mit Hip-Hop, Breaks und Neo Funk bespasste.

Man Darf also gespannt sein! *Kalimba! Wünscht viel Erfolg und gutes Gelingen. Yeah!

Audio Recycle - Tensnake & Moonbootica

Nachdem ja Armand van Helden & A-Track mit ihrem 'Duck Sauce - Barbra Streisand' schon auf mehrfach bewährte Melodien deutschen Liedguts zurückgreifen und somit auch Frank Farian mal wieder Credits, also Kohle bekommt, wollen wir euch noch ein paar weitere Jungs vorstellen die sich haben inspierieren lassen:

Coma Cat, einer der Sommer House-Hits des Jahres 2010 bedient sich bei der Jellybean Produktion 'What I Like' von Anthony And The Camp aus dem Jahre 1986. Man verändert hier und da ein bisschen, und der gute Mr. Tensnake Marco Nimerskie streicht die Credits für das Songwriting offensichtlich komplett selber ein. Selbst das Intro-Magazin scheint nix gemerkt zu haben. Soviel also zu 'neu', ein Schelm wer Böses dabei denkt. Hier zum selber vergleichen:

Daft Punk’s Electroma - The Movie

Irgendwie mögen die Daft Punk Jungs grad keine Musik machen. Lieber Filme, was ja auch kaum verwundert, legen sie ja sowohl bei den Cover-Artworks als auch bei ihren Schows mit Pyramide, Helmen und Laser-Schnick-Schnack eh viel Wert auf's Optische. Und um 2 Roboter bei ihrem Versuch der Menschwerdung geht's in dem Streifen, SciFi-Drama mit Hero Robots, yeah!

Raus gekommen ist Daft Punk’s Electroma aber nun schon 2007, ein bisschen her. Und nix mit Musik seitdem. Man könnte zum Zeitvertreib ja einfach mal anschauen was sie so cineastisch verbrochen haben, oder?

Eigentlich ein bisschen ausserhalb unserer Kern-Thematiken, aber das ist zu wichtig als dass wir es für uns behalten könnten. Endlich die Lösung für MONO-Probleme. Sozusagen Stereo um die Hüften rum. Heute abend, am Freitag, den 01. Oktober, sticht die *Kalimba!-Blog-Crew wieder mal mit mächtig Partylaune in See. Dieses Mal kommt André Kitoo extra aus Schweinfurt angeschippert, um ordentlich treibende Tech-House Scheiben im Salon des Boots auf euch abzufeuern. Neben seinen zahlreichen Bookings unter anderem auf der Thaibreak, organisiert André auch die Bookings für den Suzie Wong Club und lädt regelmäßig DJ-Hochkaräter in die Industriestadt am Main ein, zuletzt unter anderem Markus Fix von Cocoon, Einmusik und Butch.
Seinen Sets versprechen maximal gute Laune und den nötigen Drive, den er sich in seiner über 10 jährigen DJ-Karriere angeeignet hat.
