Meine Fresse, zum 20jährigen Jahrestag von so einigen, wegweisenden Hip-Hop Acts hat DJ Psychology aus Montreal, Canada ein paar leckere Werksschau-DJ-Mixes hingezaubert. Keine Scratch- oder Effekt-Orgien, nur solide, straight durchgemixt und trotz ein paar Fehlern mit schönem Flow.


Hey Kids, so hört sich echter Hip-Hop an. Raw Diamonds, old but still SHINY, real true and timeless Masterpieces, WORD! Da stinken die meisten der aktuellen möchtegern G's und Hupf-Gören ganz gewaltig ab gegen. Naja, Casting-Show Äffchen ja meist eh nur, was soll da auch kommen. Ne tighte Choreo vom Vorturner Detlef D! Soost bringt's da voll. Spitzensache für kommende und dann auch sehr schnell wieder verschwundene Superstars. Bah.
Und es gab tatsächlich auch mal 'ne Zeit da stand MTV für Music Television! Echt jetzt, mit Videosund so. Frische Musik bis zum Abwinken und keine blödsinnigen Dating-Shows, ohne Chicks neu verkuppelt von Mutti und Papi Quatsch. Und deine eigenen MTV-Handy-Sim hillft dir in der Hood auch nicht, kommst auf dem Spielplatz nebenan keinen halben Meter mehr Street-Tough rüber mit, sorry wenn's dir noch keiner gesagt hat.

Back to Topic: Unfassbar diese Beats, 20 Jahre auf dem Buckel und es klingt fresh als wär der ganze Kram erst gestern rausgekommen.
Karl hat mal 4 Sets rausgesucht, und natürlich the hardest working man in showbusiness, Mr. James Brown, Gott hab ihn selig, auch noch dazugenommen. Denn ohne James Brown wären da keine Breaks, keine funky Beats.
