Between 1969 and 1979 disco soundtracked gay liberation, foregrounded female desire in the age of feminism and led to the birth of modern club culture as we know it today, before taking the world by storm. The danish bus/coach-company Byturen did a nice video to advertise their night-service which shows that 'gap'. The youtube vid is split-screen style, but on their page you may find an interactive version with mouse-over 'parallel-wold-window'.
